The 5th Advanced Satellite Multimedia Systems Conference and the 11th Signal Processing for Space Communications Workshop will be jointly organized by the University of Bologna, the DLR Institute for Communications and Navigation, the European Space Agency, and the Integral Satcom Initiative Technology Platform. Building on the last successful editions of the two events, this joint conference organised with the support of University of Cagliari is an outstanding opportunity for industry and research institutions to get the latest updates and to exchange information about recent advances and emerging technologies for mobile, broadband and broadcast satellite communication systems

Four half day tutorials will be presented at ASMS/SPSC 2010: "LMS Channel and Fading Mitigation Techniques", "Cognitive Radios", "MIMO and Cooperative Systems", "Next Generation DVB-RCS Systems"

Venue

The joint event will be held at the Hotel Flamingo Resort in Pula, Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. Sardina is a pearl in the Mediterranean Sea. The sea of Sardina with its transparent blue, turquoise, green waters, contours the island perimeter, consigning it to the myth of paradise-like lands

Final manuscript due: 15 June 2010

 

Accepted papers will be published on IEEE Xplore.


Authors of the best papers presented at the conference will be invited to contribute to a Special Issue of an International Journal devoted to the ASMS highlights.

 

 


 

 

Paper Submissions

Papers should neither have been published elsewhere nor currently under review by another conference or journal. All papers for ASMS/SPSC 2010 must be submitted electronically via the EDAS system by Monday, March 1, 2010, 23:59 EST. Accepted papers will be published on IEEE Xplore.

Papers must be no longer than 8 pages and in font size no smaller than 10 points. Papers must be prepared according to the IEEE conference templates available here

The organizers of ASMS/SPSC 2010 as well as the Conference attendees expect accepted papers to be presented at the conference.

Publication of accepted papers in the Conference Proceedings and on IEEE Xplore is subject to registration of at least one Author to the conference and to the presentation of the paper at the conference.
